This stone arch sits along US-14, crossing a private driveway and a branch of Bear Creek.
It is an anomaly of sorts, having been built in 1910. By 1910, most bridges were using concrete and steel, instead of stone.
However, the C&NW continued to use stone, building stone arch bridges a decade or more into the 20th century. This resulted in many structures that will last a long time along former C&NW lines.
This arch is very similar to most others, containing a simple arch with stepped wing walls. Overall, it appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design and newer age.
The bridge is in good condition. The photo above is an overview.
